The root cause of failure for most SaaS ideas

Most SaaS products don’t survive a month, the root cause to this is always the idea or the execution. The idea is always probably something you believe that it is really useful and going to help a lot of people but once again it could just be something YOU BELIEVE.

And for the execution it’s quite simple why this could go wrong, Once you’ve finished building, You post your SaaS in a couple of places online and expect to receive all these sales, and when you don’t see results straight away, you give up on the entire thing.

But quiet frankly that’s not how it works even for the best ideas, you can’t expect a couple of posts online to bring in paid users, you must repeatedly promote your SaaS to the RIGHT AUDIENCE and gain trust first.

You cannot write a post on reddit saying “The Ultimate tool to do XYZ try it out” and expect a plenitude of users.

That’s not How SaaS marketing works even for the best ideas, Marketing online is all about creating good content and providing value to the consumer so you can gain their trust.

You may not gain any users from the firs few content you create but you should try to gain there trust by helping them.

I know this has turned into a marketing post but it is the root cause of failure to most startups that fail, even great ideas will fail without proper execution.

If your Idea is the problem, you shouldn’t have built it in the first place because you should have validated it. If you want to know how to properly validate your idea, I wrote another article about it here
